The day starts at 8am where we meet at Tantalos for breakfast. Once we are filled up, we will head off on a 2 ½ hour journey in an Embera Village towards the Darien Gap just off of the Panamerican

Highway. We will be greeted by the very friendly Emerba Ipeti tribe sharing with us many things about their culture and traditional lifestyle. Following their traditional dance where we are sure they will ask you to join along we will have some lunch! As we will be staying here 2 nights, this will give us a chance to get to know the village quite well. Siga along with one of the tribe members will take you around into their territory and share not only their current style of living but also how and where their ancestors lived. We will then have some time to do some swimming and lounging before dinner. In this part of the village there is no electricity, so we are sure you will enjoy the night sky.

After some lunch we can visit some of the surrounding tribes and local areas. We will then have some time to dip in the river and play some games with the locals. We will then head towards the drop off point depending on water levels to enter into the bat cave! We provide the headlamps to help shine light on these incredible creatures…there will be times we will be walking in water up to our necks making our way into the cave to reach a stunning laguna. There is going to be lunch just outside of the cave entrance where some of the locals live to take care of the land and help preserve the area. Next part of the journey will be taking us into the Guna Yala territory! Where we will spend 2 nights on the San Blas islands!! We will head back towards the city where we will meet our friends with 4×4 vehicles to take us up, down and around this windy road alongside the mountain until we reach the port.
